As long as I can remember, I have loved to sing. My journey from dreaming to reality has taken many turns. Just four years ago, I mustered the courage to sing for a few friends in my living room and now I'm producing my second solo show at The Jazz Kitchen this year!
Through the Spirit & Place Festival's "dream" theme, I aim to prove that it's never too late to live your dreams. I've curated this show as an exclusive Spirit & Place Festival 75-minute cabaret performance featuring songs and stories not only about my story, but our shared journey to achieve dreams, live through nightmares, and awaken to a life we never could have imagined.
With music from the Great American Songbook, Broadway, jazz, and popular music, I'm honored to be accompanied by several great Indy musicians:
Piano -- David Duncan
Drums -- Steve Hanna
Guitar -- Sandy Williams
My inspiration for this show comes from one of my favorite quotes:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. ... We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” -- Marianne Williamson
