Gail Payne wrote and performed “DON’T MAKE ME LAUGH” in the May 25, 2025, Generation Women monthly storytelling night at Joe’s Pub.
Gail has been a writer all her life, starting with journaling about boys and musicals that somehow led to a weekly advice column in her high school newspaper. More recently, her writing focuses on personal essays, a solo show, and memoir about how she and her husband, Brian, fell in love while raising $63 million for an eight-mile bicycle and pedestrian trail downtown Indianapolis.
